Among the progress at our recent Q1 meeting was important work around 5G. Having handed recommendations to 3GPP, the collaboration continues to ensure a smooth transition of the Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) work as the details are documented in specifications by both bodies. This highlights the important role Broadband Forum is taking in developing 5G by making recommendations for the connection points between the fixed and 5G mobile core networks, driving core convergence.
