The first inaugural Town Hall Innovation Series (THIS) sessions at the Q1 Broadband Forum meeting were well-attended by the membership and guest attendees. Greater collaboration between Video Content Providers and Broadband Service Providers to capitalize on broadcasting opportunities was called for, and improved coordination and collaboration between different government agencies and standards organizations was identified to bridge the digital divide across the United States. The importance of SLA-aware real-time control across optical, computing, and mobile networks was highlighted as a key enabler for 5G Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (URLLC). Colorless Multi-Access (CMA) network was introduced as a new frontier, blending the best of access technologies. Going forward, these Town Hall sessions will take place at each quarterly Members’ meeting, and we are inviting speakers to get involved.
