Electronic voting is now open for the 2025 Board of Directors (5 seats) and Marketing Committee Chair (1 seat).

🗓️ Voting closes June 23, 2025, during the Summer Annual Meeting.

📌 Eligibility: The voting representatives of Principal Members elect the Board of Directors and Marketing Committee Chair.

📢 Results will be announced at the meeting and via email.

A welcome from our leadership - Lincoln Lavoie, Technical Chair at the Broadband Forum and Principal Engineer at UNH Interoperability Labs (UNH-IOL) 

The Broadband Forum had much to celebrate during our Fall member meeting in San Diego. New and exciting projects are underway, the flagship smart home standard TR-069 has become 20 years old, and the organization marked a momentous milestone of 30 years of making broadband a reality.

In my role as Broadband Forum’s Technical Chair, I am lucky to work with all the Work Area Directors and help drive the focus and direction of their work. Here in San Diego the relevancy of that work has never been exemplified more. We witnessed great interaction and productive collaboration between all of our member companies.

Broadband Forum uses a collaborative suite of tools created by Atlassian. These tools allow our members to collaborate real-time across the industry and across the globe.

  • The Wiki (also known as Confluence) is for administration - meetings, agendas, project descriptions, and more.
  • Jira is a project management database used to progress BBF projects, and holds draft Working Texts (WTs), contributions, and ballot comments.
  • Bitbucket is a code repository.
  • Bamboo is a continuous integration server.

Additional software tools include FishEye, Crucible, SonarQube, Artifactory, and others - these are used for BBF's Open Broadband (OB) work.
