The BBF Wiki is a dynamic, interactive tool that helps members share ideas, accelerate the work and collaborate globally on new projects.

  • It allows members to create and share information in a way that was not previously possible. It contains host of new functionality to help you develop your work. There are links to the contribution site throughout and we have also set up the same distribution groups here that are on ARO.

Finding your way around the wiki: (1) powerful search, (2) left hand navigation, (3) complete listing and preview of of all pages

In addition to upgrading to a new version of confluence a new BBF Projects page has been developed.

This page

  • implements the work area > project stream > project hierarchy
  • highlights the goals of each work area
  • provides links to all of the work area pages
  • provides links to all project streams (40+) lists related projects with links where available
  • lists all SD and WT projects in progress.

It uses the excerpt and excerpt include macros to pull information from the underlying work are pages.

Feb 9/10:

In the course of looking at write macros to automate the tasks of summarizing work,  we (actually really William Lupton) discovered what looks to be a much more useful macro. Today we licensed and have added the software known as Multi Excerpt and it's companion Multi Excerpt Include. (They are available from the Macro drop down)
These allow several excerpts to be included in page and then referenced by name on other pages. This will really help in automating the project and other references.

Also new is the Projects, Project Streams, ARO Links and Editors page with details on 120+ projects in progress

There are a few implementation constraints so for now we have limited editing ability on the page.

Whether you a newcomer or long-standing member we hope that you will find this useful. Any questions or issues, contact myself mfishburn@boradband-forum.org or wlupton@broadband-forum.org.
