Developing Holistic Broadband

The BBF Wiki is a dynamic, interactive tool that helps members share ideas, accelerate the work and collaborate globally on new projects.

  • It allows members to create and share information in a way that was not previously possible. It contains host of new functionality to help you develop your work. There are links to the contribution site throughout and we have also set up the same distribution groups here that are on ARO.

What's the preferred way to start a new project?

  • Navigate to the Work Area and or project Stream of your choice
  • Just create a new page using the Project Initiation and Summary Template and off you go - replaces the NPIF form
  • All project summaries on the wiki are automatically listed on Project Summaries page

What is the preferred way to begin working on a project such as a "working text" after the project has started?

  • Navigate to the Work Area and or project Stream of your choice
  • Just create a new page using the BBF Working Test/Page Template and off you go

What's the best way to set agendas and take minutes?

  • Navigate to the Work Area and or project Stream of your choice
  • Just create a new page using the BBF Meeting Agenda/Minutes Template and off you go
  • Meetings are automatically listed on the meeting notes page

This month
  • We added 4 new templates accessible from the create button
  • created a brand new way to start projects, work on projects, white papers and take agenda notes.
  • We also show how use of macros to list all new projects on the wiki

  • We added more software plug ins for exporting PDFs to templates, managing groups document versions and we are experimenting with other new Atlassian plug ins - more in June
  • With two new Councils (Gfast and NG-PON2) and the new Open Broadband the Forum is taking on new practical and strategic initiatives.(see the new org chart on this page and update Gfast page on the public site)
  • On the BBF Public site we added new pages covering Gfast Certification, on Open broadband, Interop and certification, etc.
  • Finally, we updated the standard presentation template with updated graphics elements included. We would request that you use this template for all meeting and call presentations
  • Login is available to all members. to sign up a colleague forward this sign-up link using your email address.

New to the wiki? We held three town hall meetings on using the wiki. These were recorded and can be viewed. from the Wiki Training Space
