PLEASE NOTE: 2025 Work Areas Updates
During our Fall 2024 meeting, we introduced new work areas aligned with our vision and mission. The draft missions and scopes for these areas are now available: 2025 Work Areas.
These will shape the agenda for the 2025 Spring meeting, with final reviews and ratification's during the event. The agenda is currently in development and subject to change.
Ongoing projects and calls will continue as planned to ensure no disruptions.

Please check-in at the Broadband Forum registration desk in the hotel to receive meeting materials, including information about Work Area meeting room location, meals and breaks, a printed copy of the agenda, and your name badge. The registration desk also serves as a meeting "lost and found" center, and is where Broadband Forum staff may be found for questions and additional information.

General Travel Information:
- The three main areas of Hong Kong are: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories. The Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers is located on Kowloon in the Tsim Sha Tsui area. According to google: Tsim Sha Tsui is a shopping and nightlife district in Kowloon. Casual eateries and eclectic local shops are packed along neon-lit Nathan Road, while luxury malls line nearby Canton Road. The Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, on Victoria Harbour, is a popular spot to appreciate Hong Kong's skyline views, while mainstream concerts and musicals are performed at the Hong Kong Cultural Center.

Don't forget to ask for the discounted Broadband Forum rate (Group Code: BROBROA).
Please know it's not guaranteed that you will receive the discounted rate for all nights.
For a room reservation cancellation or amendment, please contact 852 23691111 or RES.HongKong@sheraton.com and copy help@broadband-forum.org. Please be sure to mention the group discount for the Broadband Forum.
Based on availability, the discounted group rate is offered a few days prior and post of the scheduled room block. If you plan to stay late or arrive early, please note that the reservation system will not allow you to book online. Please go ahead and make your reservation for the dates that you find available and then email RES.HongKong@sheraton.com and copy help@broadband-forum.org, requesting the additional dates. Please know it's not guaranteed that you will receive the discounted rate for the additional nights.
Sleeping Room Discount Details:
Single Occupancy with One King Bed or Two Twin Beds: HK$1,550 + taxes and service charges (currently at 3% and 10% = HK$1,751.50)
This room rate includes:

Individuals are responsible for all sleeping room charges and reservations must be guaranteed by an individual’s valid credit card at the time of booking.
Reservations canceled prior to Friday, February 21st will receive a full refund of their deposit.
For reservations canceled after Friday, February 21st a cancellation charge of entire period will be applied

NOTE: If reservations are made with a travel agency, the Broadband Forum will not be able to assist in adjusting room rates as the hotel has special agreements with each travel agency. For the Broadband Forum to get involved, you must make your reservations as stated above.
Visa Information
Visas cannot be obtained at the border or airport. The average time to obtain a Visa is four (4) weeks, however this will vary depending on location. Please be aware that each country has different requirements as to how to apply for a visa.
A person permitted to enter the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“HKSAR”) as a visitor may generally engage in the following business-related activities:
- concluding contracts or submitting tenders;
- examining or supervising the installation/packaging of goods or equipment;
- participating in exhibitions or trade fairs (except selling goods or supplying services direct to the general public, or constructing exhibition booths);
- settling compensation or other civil proceedings;
- participating in product orientation; and
- attending short-term seminars or other business meetings.
