Review implemented changes to WT-355c1A few items marked in red on bbf2016.1287.01.xls will be addressed by the editors
2bbf2017.058.00, Yang performance with per sub-carrier data (Nokia)It was noted that the XML does not need carriage rturns and could be represented more compactly, and that the parser could use parallel processing for better speed. After discussion it was agreed to represent the per-subcarrier objects listed in this contribution to a binary/Byte format. Also, the bbf-selt per-subcarrier objects will be converted to binary/Byte, e.g., selt.uer, selt.qln, selt.tflog. Joey to post an email on IETF-NETMOD asking for guidance on the use of binary format for large files.

2bbf2016.1278.00.xls, NOKIA straw ballot comments on WT-355cor1

All comments in bbf2016.1278 were addressed, and their resolutions are documented in bbf2016.1287.00.xls.

It was agreed by all attendees to allow changes that are not backward compatible at this time, however this practice is to be discouraged in the future.

Joey Boyd volunteered to implement all these changes and make a pull request incorporating them on Bitbucket. Ken Kerpez will review that pull request. After the pull request is merged an email will be sent to the email exploder requesting further review and requesting additional straw ballot comments on WT-355c1.

A teleconference to review further straw ballot comments will be requested for the week of January 23-27. Final ballot will be determined on that teleconference.

2bbf2016.1081.00.zip (YANG Module for RPF: Adtran)Presented by Joey Boyd. It was noted that RPF should be coupled to the port, not the interface. A port index should be added, perhaps by augmenting the equipment module. There was discussion of perhaps using profiles, although there are only two config parameters. These issues, and the alarms, need further work; so this will be updated offline and brought back to WT-355a1.
3

bbf2016.1082.00.zip (YANG Module for PON Uplink Identification: Adtran)

Agreed to edit description of container pon. It was noted that model 2 DPUs may not have a one to one relation of interface to uplink, and pluggables may report different data. This needs further work and will be updated offline and brought back to WT-355a1.
4

bbf2016.1229.00.docx (Errors found in WT-355 (part 3): Nokia)

Agreed to items 2 and 3. Item 4 should be discussed further. These will all be brought back as straw ballot comments to WT-355c1.
5

WT-355c1_Rev.02.pdf (WT-355 Corrigendum 1, YANG Modules for FTTdp Management: editors)

The straw ballot on WT-355c1 should commence Monday, November 28th for a two week duration.  The closing date will be Monday, December 12, 2016. A conference call should be scheduled for the week of December 12, no earlier than December 13, to discuss ballot comments.

bbf2016.1047 - SG15 to BBF - Will be reviewed in join session, but feeling is that it is just an FYI. No action needed from FTTdp.

bbf2016.1046 - Documents from ITU-T -  More FYI and notification of taking into account our feedback. No action needed from FTTdp.

bbf2016.974 - Incoming Liaison from ETSI ATTM TM6 - Question on the maximum latency allowed when forwarding message. Appears to be an implementation question rather than something that needs to be specified. We are aware of the necessity to send the message as quickly as possible, but we would not specify a particular value as it would be left up to implementer. Will discuss during joint session on Tuesday 4pm with PhyTX.

bbf2016.978 - Response from IETF on YANG model work - Acknowledging the fact we are referencing their work and collaborating with them. Highlighting work ongoing on QoS YANG model which is currently a personal draft that may become a working group draft. FYI and no response required from FTTdp.

bbf2016.975 -   Valid range for specific objects - Actual number of bits per symbol. Highlighting that there was a mistake in their previous documentation. Joey Boyd to confirm if this change has been actioned or not. No response required.

AP - Joey Boyd confirmed that this change has been actions. No further action required.

bbf2016.574 - Old liaison that was held open to await papers on the IL-338.  Text changes have been made.

AP - Christopher Croot to create text to send latest version of VDSL YANG model highlighting that we have changed the text in accordance with their comment.

No contributions at this meeting. Marcin Drzymala has suggested that he has an intention to provide contributions.

It was also mentioned that there was a possibility of  holding an interim meeting to tackle the SB comment resolution for TR-301i2 and this could be held in Ipswich at BT some time mid to late Jan 2017.

bbf2016.1131.00 (Bonding Management: Adtran, Calix, and Nokia)

  • Presented by Marta Seda and Joey Boyd
  • Contains a new YANG module for Ethernet-based bonding of VDSL2 and G.fast, based on TR-159.
  • There is an associated list of open issues. Two new issues came from discussion:
    • Implementation of when and must constraints in XML on the line should be validated. YMCMN-59 - Getting issue details... STATUS
    • How does the model attach to PTM or ATM through fastdsl or other interfaces.
  • Accepted as a baseline model for bonding, to be further improved and should eventually be incorporated in WT-355. The model will go into Bitbucket, issues are to go into JIRA by November 18.

bbf2016.1071.02 (Errors found in TR-355 issue 1 (part 2): Nokia)

  • Presented by Frank Van der Putten
  • Sections 2, and 3: agreed to description change, and to add status deprecated to these parameters; description of 3: change “TR-355” to “this data model.”
  • Sections 4, 5, agreed.
  • Section 6 not agreed, not backward compatible.
  • Section 7, 8, agreed.
  • Section 9 not agreed, not backward compatible. Instead write in the description that all profiles must be configured, add description to direct or indirect attachment. (e.g., they are mandatory).
  • Section 10. Need to move xtse into line-spectrum-profile. Agreed to deprecate xdsl-transmission-system-enabling and add a new xtse into line-spectrum-profile. Explain reason for deprecation in description. Also deprecate useless xtse in spectrum.
  • Section 11, agreed, do not make mandatory.
  • Section 12, not agreed.
  • Section 13, agreed. Will deprecate part of the grouping.
  • Agreed to incorporate these and previous changes in the YANG and send a corrigendum to WT-355a0 to straw ballot, with the shortest ballot cycle possible.
